Newmarket is the historic home of horseracing offering a treasure trove of sights and sounds. Quite simply anyone with even a passing interest in the ‘sport of kings’ should visit Newmarket Racecourses or anyone who simply wants a great day out with friends and family. The Newmarket July Festival - the loveliest, bubbliest garden party in the East of England takes place on Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th (Ladies Day) and Friday 9th July. Three glorious days of thrilling sporting spectacle, serious style and garden party panache.
Newmarket Nights - Friday 18th & 25th June, 16th, 23rd & 30th July, 6th & 13th August - Friday evening racing followed by a spectacular live concert by some of the biggest names in music. Past acts have included The Pussycat Dolls, Simply Red, Boyzone and Bryan Adams. Summer Saturdays throughout June, July and August have a magical charm of their own. They are the perfect afternoon out with friends and family with free entertainment on offer for children.
The Cambridgeshire Meeting is an exceptional three day racing event taking place from Thursday 30th September to Saturday 2nd October and features The East of England Festival of Food and Drink in association with Adnams.
Champions Day on Saturday 16th October is the million pound raceday that has it all. Racegoers will witness six group races - the most important races in the international calendar - plus the season’s most compelling handicap making this a Newmarket raceday not to be missed.
